Where is justice in this?!

Harapan Vice Presidential Candidates

These type of programs are what we really need. It helps the people decide and see deeper through the candidates platform, sincerity and purpose.

Yung isa naman, naniniwala sa pilosopiyang “Tell a lie with confidence and it becomes the truth.” Titi mo!

Ingat mga kapatid sa iboboto!

Philippine Presidential Election

Coming May 10, 2010, The Philippines will have to choose a president to lead the people.

This is a momentous time for us Filipinos. Let us not be swayed by popularity, fame and surveys. Let our vote be to the one our conscience dictates, to the one who most sincere to lead, to the one who loves The Philippines most and to the one who fears God.

Martin Nievera sings the National Anthem.

I am not a fan of martin nievera. And in fact I hate him and how he sings. However, when he sang the Philippine national anthem for manny pacquiao’s game, I felt proud for the guy. He gave his all complete with the philipine color inspired ear piece and a Francis Magalona 3 stars and a sun shirt! Then the next day, I see on the news about an NHI personnel who is planning to fine and jail Martin! Fucking crap! How could he think of such thing! What hypocrisy! The hoopla is even close to biblical! The NHI guy reminds me of the Pharisees. Following thousands of written rules but totally missing the real point why there were laws. Jesus came and summarized everything in two. Love God with all your heart and all your soul and love your neighbor as you love yourself. And there are many ways to show love for God and neighbors. The point in the case of Martin is to show love for Country. Which I Believe he did so effectively in his own way. He hit the point. He showed his love for our country, his nationalism in his own way. The NHI guy is so Pharisee for me. So engrossed with his rules and laws but totally missing the point. Missing the point why we sing our national anthem.

I’m proud of you man!!!  Mabuhay ka!!  Galing ng pagkakanta mo ng Lupang Hinirang!

Manny Pacman Pacquiao The Pride of the Filipino

manny-pacquiao-ricky-hatton-fight1

Cheers to the Pacman!!

Manny is definitely the greatest source of pride among Filipinos nowadays.  Yesterday as I was watching him deck out Ricky Hatton, It felt so great to be cheering for his side.  The crowd of 7 at our house was very ecstatic and energized.  I cant imagine the feeling to watch him together with thousands of people in public gyms, city halls and various venues!  The air could have been very different!  The buzz, the shouts, the cheers and of course the smell!  hahaha!  But we are Filipinos right?  What the hell!  We love being in crowds!  As one girl summarized it yesterday when she was interviewed on TV “WOW ANG SARAP MAGING FILIPINO!”  You are so right girl!  Ang sarap maging Filipino!

However, our amazement with the success on the Pacman should not end up just being our pride.  Let Manny be our inspiration.  Despite his many shortcomings he has emerged to become the greatest!  All of us are not created equal.  Manny is not a perfect person.  We all know about it and sometimes we laugh about it.  However, he focused on a direction to become a boxer.  His success did not happen overnight.  He worked hard for it.  He started out as a nobody.  He trained hard and fought hard!  However, he suffered losses but he did not quit!  He got back on his feet again and regained his composure.  Manny also learns from his mistakes and making sure he does not commit the same thing again.  Manny also listens and does not pretend to know it all.  He has his Roach for a coach and he listens.  The more he climbs the ladder to the top the more he listens and solicits more advises.  He listened to Michael Moorer his assistant coach in his fight for Hatton.  But the best that Manny has that we should have is his unshakeable faith in God.  Manny prays before he goes to battle and most importantly connects with God even after all the buzz and commotion when he wins.  This is a very astounding trait as normally, you will be very self absorbed with your success when you win or achieve something great.  On the contrary, Manny shuts out the world, kneels down and give thanks to God!  AMAZING!

MANNY’S FORMULA TO SUCCESS:

1.) Hard Work

2.) Don’t Quit

3.) Learn

4.) Listen

5.) Pray

I hope and pray that Manny will continue to focus on the path of unifying and inspiring the Filipinos.

MABUHAY ANG PAMBANSANG KAMAO!!!  MABUHAY KA MANNY PACQUIAO!!!!

Kudos Francis Magalona!!!

Francis, kung saan ka man kapatid.  Salamat sa mga kantang iyong nilikha.  Tunay ka na Filipino!

Francis has been very nationalistic in his songs.  He was very proud to be a Filipino.

More to that, he showed his nationalism through the shirts that he sold.  Francis founded the 3 Stars & a Sun clothing.  Nothing wrong making a decent profit from what you stand for.  Go visit FrancisM Clothing Co. – 3 Stars & a Sun  The designs are very bold, nationalistic and very Filipino.

Francis was an inspiration for me when I was growing up.  I used to play and sing his songs.  Now that he is gone, his songs will be immortalized in every true Filipino heart.

God bless your soul bro!  Rock’n Roll!!!!!!

I must admit though that there are also a lot of old nationalistic artist who have contributed alot to our music.  The likes of River Maya, Heber, Asin, Ka Freddie, Sampaguita and etc….  I love their music.  We must love our music.

Mga kababayan ko Lyrics

Francis m.

Chorus

Mga kababayan ko
Dapat lang malaman nyo
Bilib ako sa kulay ko
Ako ay pilipino
Kung may itim or may puti
Mayron naman kayumangi
Isipin mo na kaya mong
Abutin ang yung minimithi

Dapat magsumikap para tayoy di maghirap
Ang trabaho mo pagbutihin mo
Dahil pag gusto mo ay kaya mo
Kung kaya mo ay kaya nya
At kaya nating dalawa

Magaling ang atin
Yan ang laging iisipin
Pag asensyo mararating
Kung handa kang tiisin
Ang hirap at pagod sa problema
Wag kang malunod

Repeat chorus

Lahat tayoy magkakapatid
Anong mang mali ay ituwid
Magdasal sa diyos maykapal
Maging banal at wag hangal
Itong tula ay alay ko
Sa inyo at sa buong mundo

Repeat chorus
